Our contributors say

Preparing business cases isn´t just about memorizing steps and frameworks. It is about building the skills needed to approach problems in a structured, data-driven way.

In a case interview, they can even ask you what you would do if you won the lottery.

I find issue trees very useful. They help you break down large, complex questions into smaller manageable ones. They´re very helpful for finding the root cause of clients´ problems. Ensure you are MECE and practical

Think strategically about networking. Begin with those around you (family and friends), then continue with those who can make introductions, and finally cold-contact consultants.

When cold-contacting consultants on online platforms like LinkedIn, you need to understand that networking is a volume game. You need to reach out to 20 people to get one answer.

Don´t give up. That answer makes a big difference.
